Worlds built inside structure.
Concept, character, and key imagery for technology, industry, and film — developed with a painter's eye.
I have been reading paintings since I was four.
Mariia Nabira grew up inside art — a painter's daughter, raised among the works in her mother's gallery. Long before she made her own images, she learned to read a canvas: what separates a good work from a great one, how a single half-tone changes everything.
That eye is the constant in everything she makes now. Concept visualization, character design, and key imagery — moving between industry, technology and film, held together not by a subject but by a sensibility: restraint, depth, and an exact feeling for colour.
She works with clients internationally, under a closed, proprietary process.
For clients who care how their work looks and feels.
Each engagement is approached as a considered visual program — built with care and consistency, rather than one-off assets.
- Industrial & Energy — Concept visualization for infrastructure, energy and engineering programs.
- Technology — Product and concept imagery for advanced, precise, forward-looking work.
- Corporate & Brand — Visual systems and campaign imagery with one consistent premium identity.
- Film & Animation — Character design, key frames and world development for feature and series work.
Considered, not fast.
Every engagement begins with the question the images have to answer. Direction is agreed before production begins — the visual language, the mood, the intent. Only then does the work get made.
The process is proprietary and closed. What clients receive is predictable: a defined scope, staged review, and full ownership of the result.
- Direction first. The visual language is agreed before a single final image is produced.
- One hand throughout. Concept, production and delivery held by one practice — no handoffs, no drift.
- Ownership on delivery. Full rights transferred, authorship and provenance embedded in every file.
Luminous Realism
Luminous Realism is my own visual language — a style I developed rather than adopted, built on a childhood spent reading paintings before I ever made one.
The name describes what it does. Luminous: light is never flat or neutral, it carries emotion and warms the surface it touches. Realism: proportion, weight and anatomy stay believable, even when a character is stylised. Between those two ideas sits everything I make.
Technical perfection is easy to reach and easy to forget. I would rather a character be slightly imperfect and completely alive.
Where most digital character work chases technical perfection — clean surfaces, precise renders, plastic finish — Luminous Realism goes the other way. Texture is painterly and visible, like brushwork left deliberately unresolved. Colour is saturated and emotional rather than accurate. Faces are built around the eyes, because the eyes are where a character stops being a design and starts being a person.
- Painterly texture over plastic perfectionVisible surface, brushwork, imperfection kept on purpose.
- Luminous cinematic lightLight as emotion, not illumination.
- Saturated, emotional colourColour chosen for feeling, not accuracy.
- Expressive faces that carry the storyBuilt around the eyes.
- Atmospheric depthCharacters live in air, not on backdrops.

A refined, proprietary way of working.

For the ones who read everything.
How do you start a project?
With a confidential conversation about what the images need to achieve. Scope and direction are agreed in writing before production begins.
Who owns the final work?
You do. Full rights are transferred on delivery, with authorship and usage documented and embedded in every file.
Can you work under NDA?
Yes — confidentiality is established before any material is exchanged, as a matter of course.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. Working with clients across sectors internationally.
Can I see work you can't publish?
Selected confidential case material can be shared privately with qualified parties, under agreement.
What makes your work different?
A gallery-trained eye. Everything is judged the way a painting is judged — light, half-tone, balance — before it is judged as a deliverable.
